Welcome!
Sit right down with
me for a good Cuppa Light! A Cuppa Light is Java for your whole being! Most of us begin our day with some morning rituals
including grabbing a cuppa something to get our physical bodies going. I wanted inspiration for my spirit and mind as well.
I found that if I sincerely needed uplifting moments, they would come. They came in dreams, something I’d observe, emails people sent, or things
they would say. I’d read a book, and there was a quotation or passage that lifted or helped me know the right thing
to do. I learned how to recognize, and work with the different parts of myself, and how to help others do it as well. I created
this website as an inspirational place, A Cuppa Light for your whole being. If you're in a hurry just read the blog below
or click on "A Little Cuppa". Maybe one will be just right for you! Invite your friends to come recharge with
a good cuppa light. Add your flavor
to the Cuppa via the guestbook below. Share something that inspires you, and write about it in the guestbook. I'm looking
forward to hearing from you. Enjoy!

Mother's Day and More
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers everywhere. Thank-you for allowing souls to use your bodies to come
to the Earth plane. I read years ago that that is the only obligation a mother ever has to give to her child. Without a willingness,
either unconscious or conscious, the child can’t use the mother as a channel. Thanks especially to my mom, Marjorie
Bradstreet Marshall Roberts Bamman, who went way beyond the basic requirements and cared for my physical
needs, encouraged me mentally and led me to Bible School when I was 6, and saw that I had a basic understanding of the Presbyterian
religion before I left home. It was a good start Mom, and I’ll love you forever, even though you are once again in spirit/mind
form. Arthur DeFries, a late Hawaiian wise man told me that if a man didn’t have a good relationship with his
mother, he wouldn’t have one with other women. Paul Solomon stated that we pattern our relationships after our parents.
It pays to work them out, but we need to be fair. Parents get blamed a lot for the patterns that they “give” us.
But I know from having three completely different children that even though I was the same, and loved them all as best I could,
each of them drew out different things in me. In studying “A Course in Miracles” I’ve discovered that a
lot of our pre-entry to earth patterning is set within our minds before we arrive on earth and begin experiencing the 3D world.
For example, one child may be very willing, maybe too willing to try new things even if they could be dangerous. That mother
might be perceived as “always slowing me down” or “not trusting my judgment”, and a pattern could
develop as needing to push limits. Another child may arrive with less courage, and need extra coaxing and soothing.
It may strengthen a bond between the mother and child, and create a pattern of being trusting of others, and able to have
intimacy in relationships, or create a pattern of being dependent upon others.
What I’m suggesting is that
we own our “stuff”. Abraham, through Ester Hicks tells us that the Universe is always giving us what we ask for
vibrationally. It might be that a mother was hard on us, but we had a part in the relationship. At any point we can just stop
and say, “I want to change this. We can focus on what we would like to experience in our lives, check it out with Beloved,
to see if it really is in our best interest, and if it is, we can proceed to draw it to us, feeling it get closer and closer
to us, as if we were about to get on an airplane and fly to Europe which I will be doing in less than 24 hours! I know it’s
coming. I’ve taken the steps, and I look forward to a joyous adventure.
I’m taking The Game over
there, and will see how it fares in the circles I find. I’m not creating a rigid itinerary. I’m allowing Spirit
to lead. I had an interesting experience today. I met a friend whose family came from Lucca, Italy. I’d considered going
there and to the Cinque Terre, but was mentally going the other way toward Venice in my mind. He emailed me some information,
and I’ll let you know what transpires. Have a happy everything!

National Day of Prayer
The
first Thursday in May is the United States' National Day of Prayer. The Interfaith Roundtable of Kaua'i sponsored
a Prayer Event at the Civic Center Rotunda. After chanting and prayer by Aunty Hana Montgomery, Our Mayor Bernard Carvalho
decreed and signed a Proclamation claiming today as Kaua'i's National Day of Prayer, and sang "Let There be Peace
on Earth." He stayed to hear all of our prayers. I prayed as minister of the Fellowship of the Inner Light. The prayer
follows: Beloved Creator, Thank You for Your limitless love, and creating us to be like You; loving, thoughtful
beings. Thank You for Your endless forgiveness as we make mistakes and learn through trial and error what Love really is and
isn’t.
Guide our hearts and minds to
remember that you created us all to be loved by you, to love one another, and to love You. We are your children, and the sheep
of your pasture. Help us remember that You love us all equally as Your children, and want us all to live peacefully and joyfully
together.
We know that requests for You
to take one side or another against anyone in the greater family of man are meaningless to you in the greatness and completeness
of Your love, although prayers for the healing of our human family are heard and answered. So we pray for the awakening of our individual hearts and minds to recognize
the power of love and acceptance, which is eternal and more powerful than any weapon. You gifted us with the kingdom of heaven
within our minds and souls. Give us the faith and discipline to quiet our loud self-preoccupied minds, and listen to the still
small voice within that guides us to Your Loving, healing Presence. Bless the people of the United States of America with Your
vision for us. May we see beyond our limited vision of what we think are good choices for us, and step into the knowing of
what is best for us as a people, a nation and for the world we live in. Guide our political leaders, spiritual leaders, parents, and
teachers. Bless them with your wisdom and guidance, as they lead us to greater peace on earth and good will to men, and fellowship
with all beings that you created. Help
our scientists learn the best ways to care for our generous Mother Earth, our universe, and our bodies. Help us to forgive at all times and in all ways, and remember
our true nature as your Spiritual Child. Thank-You Beloved for your Limitless love, Amen
