Welcome!
Sit right down with
me for a good Cuppa Light! A Cuppa Light is Java for your whole being! Most of us begin our day with some morning rituals
including grabbing a cuppa something to get our physical bodies going. I wanted inspiration for my spirit and mind as well.
I found that if I sincerely needed uplifting moments, they would come. They came in dreams, something I’d observe, emails people sent, or things
they would say. I’d read a book, and there was a quotation or passage that lifted or helped me know the right thing
to do. I learned how to recognize, and work with the different parts of myself, and how to help others do it as well. I created
this website as an inspirational place, A Cuppa Light for your whole being. If you're in a hurry just read the blog below
or click on "A Little Cuppa". Maybe one will be just right for you! Invite your friends to come recharge with
a good cuppa light. Add your flavor
to the Cuppa via the guestbook below. Share something that inspires you, and write about it in the guestbook. I'm looking
forward to hearing from you. Enjoy!

A Letter to My Son
My son, Paul, is waking up spiritually, and finding himself in the
uneven walk between two worlds. I wrote him this letter, and thought it would fit as a blog. Dear Paul, Your letter really touched me. You're
at the point, and it offen occurs in one's 30's when you begin to really understand that there has just got to be
more than this 3D world we live in where some people have, and some people don't, where some sweet people are in terrible
accidents, and criminals live the high life, and there doesn't appear to be justice.
It's hard initially
when you begin to wake up to the fact that we are beings of two worlds. The world of spirit, our true world, is loving,
extending, non-judging, all inclusive, sharing, and knows that in each and every person there is a beautiful, perfect spirit
which is linked to, even a part of every other spirit. We have all we need, because we are Love. Love doesn't need food,
shelter, attention, etc. It just wants to give love, and in giving love receives joy, love and peace. But the world that the body's senses report is of a world of limitation, comparisons, needs and wants. The Son
of God chose to experience that world where we have to grow our food, birth babies painfully, and more. But we are NOT bodies,
and brains, which can unfortunately get negatively programmed into patterns which are hard to undo. We are souls and spirit.
I urge you to contact the True part of yourself every day and ask it to lead you to all that you need to do. The Holy Spirit
was created to help us get back to our true state of consciousness. Jesus told us when He left that he would send us the Comforter,
the Holy Spirit. I can guarantee that if you sincerely ask
for guidance, you will get it, and feel more peace about it. The guidance won't necessarily come right then, or in words,
but you'll find that a book, or idea, or that you'll even be led to the place you are meant to go.
Yesterday
I was wanting something beautiful and celebratory for the peace event I am putting on on Sept. 21st. I went to the local health
bakery, and it had moved! So I walked about and remembered that a friend of mine told me that a statue she has that
I wanted was bought at a store nearby. When I went into that store, I saw 1,000 golden Origami cranes. The shopkeeper
had made them after a vision about 1,000 cranes. Several folks helped her. She took them to a peace event commemorating the
bombing of Hiroshima. I invited her to come to our peace event. To me that is an answered prayer. You are a very loving son. I know that you have been taken advantage of at times, but if you gave lovingly and unselfishly,
your love will be multiplied. Give to the God within a person. True, that Being needs nothing, but it is a way to show your
devotion to God, and God will get the gift. Have a great everything,
and remember, sometimes we learn what we are, by learning what we aren't. We aren't our egos. They don't bring
us peace. Let peaceful feelings be your guide to help you know you're on track. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

An Incredible Caring Experience
I sing with about a dozen women in a group called "Voice Weavers" lead
by Rhonda Rice. We sing without musical accompaniment and in pleasing harmonies. At the end of rehearsal last night, We were
just sort of goofing around when Rhonda pointed to the middle of the circle and said to us, “There’s
the fire, right there!” referring, to the focus of our passion and joy in singing. One of the women walked right in
with a big smile on her face, and said, “I could use some.” We sang beautiful songs in our harmonies,
and watched as she laughed, and cried, and laughed and cried again, and allowed the music and our love to bring healing energy
to her body. At one point she needed to be held up, and we literally were holding her horizontally in the air. We sang about
five songs to her, and when she was full, we placed her gently down on the sofa. It was an experience we will all remember.
Here are the words to one of the songs we sang, "I will be gentle with myself. I will love my self. I am a child of the
Universe, being born each moment." I am reminded of a West African drumming group in Asheville,
NC, which related the story that when one of the tribe is depressed, several people will go to the home
and play uplifting drumming rhythms, sometimes for days, until the person feels better! No HMOs or prescription drugs needed.
I am also finding that in my class singing can sometimes settle the children, and focuses
their energy. Ah the great gift of loving song!

Rebuilding Myself
There are times in life when things just don’t go the way
“we” planned. Right now many people in this country and the world are facing changes that they never thought that
they have to make, such as losing a job or home. I have utmost compassion for my friends. When we then tie our emotions to
physical objects which we lose, it can be even worse. We can get angry and fight, and even begin to “lose” the
people in our lives. The ego isn’t much help, because the ego is the one that may have gotten us into the mess to begin
with. The lifeline is the Holy Spirit.
The
Holy Spirit knows and remembers the truth at all times, and remembers our commitment to this life before we even came
in! The path out of chaos is to anchor on to what is True, and then follow the steps place in front of us with no fear, and
even no judgment. I can say this, because I just walked through a bit of fire myself.
I thought I’d be focusing on revising and selling the book “A Cuppa Light”
right now, and I am now my third week into teaching a Special Education Pre-School class 40 minutes away from my home. I walked
into the Department of Education to file for a substitute position, and was corralled right into this job. It tests me at
every level, but the work with the children is very rewarding. Every day I affirm that they are beautiful souls of Light.
I invite the angels to help us, and every day I see some growth in them. It wasn’t my picture, but there were
so many signs that I knew it had to be right. So
there will come a time when I can leave my classroom before 5:00, and I will have time to work on the book, or even write
more blogs. I’ve gotten insights about my target audience that I didn’t have before. I trust that the book is
ripening on the tree, as I ripen into more wisdom to put into the book. I am grateful that I have a job when others are losing
theirs. I trust that God answers me when I pray to be led OBVIOUSLY into God’s plan for me.
I remember Lawrence Steinhart, a Fellowship Minister giving a lesson on will.
He said that if you say the “Lord’s Prayer” every day, and believe it, it would guide you into right living.
I bought that hook, line and sinker.
So far,
so good.
