Welcome!
Sit right down with
me for a good Cuppa Light! A Cuppa Light is Java for your whole being! Most of us begin our day with some morning rituals
including grabbing a cuppa something to get our physical bodies going. I wanted inspiration for my spirit and mind as well.
I found that if I sincerely needed uplifting moments, they would come. They came in dreams, something I’d observe, emails people sent, or things
they would say. I’d read a book, and there was a quotation or passage that lifted or helped me know the right thing
to do. I learned how to recognize, and work with the different parts of myself, and how to help others do it as well. I created
this website as an inspirational place, A Cuppa Light for your whole being. If you're in a hurry just read the blog below
or click on "A Little Cuppa". Maybe one will be just right for you! Invite your friends to come recharge with
a good cuppa light. Add your flavor
to the Cuppa via the guestbook below. Share something that inspires you, and write about it in the guestbook. I'm looking
forward to hearing from you. Enjoy!

The Great Invocation
While back
in Virginia Beach, VA, at the Fellowship of the Inner Light Church, I revisited an old guiding friend, “The Great Invocation”
written by Alice Bailey. At one point in my life I said it every day. It never fails to inspire me and give me hope. It is
a gentle call for guidance. Can you imagine our world if we all invoked this with conviction that there is a Beloved Creator
there who loves us. Experiment with it if you like. See if it affects your life is a positive way, by anchoring you to God.
The Great Invocation
From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let
light stream forth into the minds of men. Let light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within
the Heart of God Let love stream forth into the heart of men. May
Christ return to Earth. From
the center where the Will of God is known Let purpose guide The little wills of men-
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of man Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.
May it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the plan on Earth.

You Matter
Time flew while I was “on
the mainland” as we say over here. It was heart-warming to see old friends, and family, and meet new friends and family.
I got to meet my new grandson Jimmy, who is that perfect hug size that babies become when they are about 5 months old. Such
a sweet happy boy! It was fun to be the Queen Bee in my son’s bachelor home, discarding the old, and bringing in some
new, and definitely bringing some chaos to order. I saw another set of grandchildren
near South Boston, VA. They are pre-teens now, and do great in school, play baseball, and have 4 dogs. We went shopping, and
roller skating, the first time for me in 5 years. I like to do it every once in awhile to remind my body that I still need
it to be strong and flexible. And yes, I was the eldest skater at the rink. I helped my grandchildren pack up and discard
items for their move the following week. More order from chaos. In Virginia
Beach I had a chance to connect with my first spiritual family at The Fellowship of the Inner Light. Bonds forged in love
have such power! I hadn’t seen most of the people in 5 years, but the connection was instant, as if the missing time
had not occurred. People came from Florida, California, Texas, and Hawaii to have a reunion of sorts. We did a group attunement
for how we could best serve during these times of change. While many suggestions were made, two stood out. The first was to
create a sense of HOPE in people. I was somewhat surprised when I tuned in to feel the level of discouragement in the world’s
collective mind. It seems that Beloved wants me to take this message seriously. I’ve heard the word HOPE stand out two
more times. I watched the last 3 minutes of a Matt Lauer interview with Dan Brown, author of “The DaVinci Code”,
and the last word in his new book “The Lost Symbol” is HOPE. Yesterday I heard it again at a tea for volunteers.
I’m paying attention. I bought the book to read on the way home. It is a great read. The other phrase that came to my mind was “You Matter”. We forget that, don’t we, that we matter.
That our essence is good and true and Light, and that it is a great gift we can shower the world with or just soak up for
ourselves if we need it. Light will find its way to illuminate that which needs to be illuminated. So I took my Light to Key West Florida and shined my best for my family at my niece’s wedding, and pre-wedding
events. I held a “Roberts Women” gathering in which we all wrote down some of our best thoughts for Jessie, dressed
them up and put them in a scrapbook. We told stories about what works and what doesn’t in relationships. It was a wonderful
bonding experience for all of us, since we are scattered from Vermont to Kauai to Key West to Colorado but with a strong base
in the north east. My new nephew-in-law is Jewish, and originally from
Israel. Three of his family flew over, and Rabbi Young drove down from Miami. Our family had a chance to be a part of their
union. One of my sisters played keyboard while another sang. The bride’s cousin was the photographer. It was my privilege
to bless the couple. Then we danced, mostly to Israeli songs. I even got to play their drum. Love is the universal language
amongst strangers. A smile and an embrace will take you far. Perhaps it’s because it’s saying, “You Matter”.

Peace in the Eye of the Storm
The two days of peace events were wonderful, and the vibration is still rippling out
a bit on the island. The Mayor of Kaua’i showed up in person to read his proclamation for peace, and then sang, “Let
There be Peace on Earth”. He invited us to join him, and it was a lovely mix of joyful even spiritual singing in a very
public place, the Kukui Grove Mall food court. That IS one of the things I love about Hawaii. Music is a part of life. The
mayor of Oahu also sings to his people. Recently life for me has been a
bit tumultuous. After this two-day event which included crafts, decorations, reading materials, and in this case the peace
cranes, I’ve needed to get everything back in place. Add to that plans for a trip to the mainland
which includes 4 different locations, a wedding and women’s gathering in one place, a reunion of sorts at another which
I’ve basically planned, then school quarterly testing and reports to do, some of which I haven’t been fully trained
on, my first IEP to write and lead, and I feel like there is almost too much for one person to do. I’ve had to give
it to God, literally. And it is amazing how it is all falling in place. I would like to thank my wonderful husband for helping
hold things together at home. I even decided that I had time to write this
blog to my wonderful readers. And what I would like to say, from within the storm, that peace is still available if one can
calm the mind down, and remember to Love the Essence, the Source of Life. Just an hour ago I was scurrying to pack, and decided
I needed a spiritual fix. I lay down in my bed and went through my L-I-S-T-E-N trigger to meditate. The very first step did
it. The L is for Love. I started thinking about how much
I loved Life and my beloved Creator, the people I’d be seeing, and my body just settled down. I smiled and knew that
everything would be all right. I stated my Intent to be interested
and engaged in the meditation process. I was Sincere. I was willing
to take all the Time necessary to have an experience. I knew I
would be Empowered to do what I truly needed to do, and I would
be Non-judgmental about the experience (although I did feel a bit
high), and would wait to see how my life expressed itself later. I feel
like I’ve touched Myself, felt the love of my true Self for my struggling ego in the 3-D world, and I am at peace. And
did I mention that I was going to see my grandchildren and family on the mainland. I’m off for two weeks, starting tonight.
Blessings in all areas of your life!
