As humanity evolves, our spirituality evolves too. Here's
a spiritual thought system that many are finding makes more sense than most of us grew up with. Many of us were taught that:
1. Creator, (however It was named in our religions) created
the world.
2. In order to find favor with God
or reach salvation, we needed to do certain things, like tithe to the church, eat certain foods, say certain words, and not
say or do certain things.
3. Not to do these
things would leave us stranded somewhere not in earth, but not in God’s favor, ie Paradise, heaven, etc.
4. Creator was usually compassionate, all loving, and merciful.
So how could we be sent to the bad place for expressing our lives with the minds, emotions
and bodies that were supposedly given to us by a loving, perfect Creator? Logically then, either Creator
didn’t create us, or Creator isn’t really loving. Here’s another way to look at it as expounded in “A
Course in Miracles”, which you can Google to learn about.
Creator
is Loving Spirit, which is omnipresent, and created us as an extension of Itself to also be one loving spirit. Spirit
has no form and no needs. So, in our true state, neither do we. But in an occurrence that can’t be explained or even
understood in our minds, a part of that spirit mind (part of the One created child) projected another story of creation. It
created the 3-D world that we live in. It is somewhat implied in the Christian Bible when it says:
1. that God initially
created one son, Adam
2. “Let us make man in our image.”
3. that God caused
a deep sleep to fall over Adam, but nowhere in the Bible does it ever say that he woke up.
In the world we think we created, our minds are limited. We have individualized egos. There is duality. Separate
bodies have needs. We think the world we built is real, because our senses tell us so. We perpetuate its continuance with
our continued thinking that it is real. But it is only a projection, just as dreams feel real while we are dreaming them.
In this world our egos set goals and achieve them, but aren’t satisfied. That’s
why periodically we feel “There has just got to be more than this.” That thought comes from the True Us trying
to get our attention, so that we can focus within, on the Real Us, rather than without. Our egos can't get us out of the
trouble that they got us into. We call on the Holy Spirit, Who will help us remember the Love that we are, and that created
us. Our chaotic world shifts into one of peace and joy.
Be the scientist.
The next time your life feels stressed, or chaotic, remember that you are Love, and that Love is what everyone in 3-D wants.
Call on the Holy Spirit and most sincerely ask that It leads you to right thinking and right action. I speak from experience.
The answer doesn’t always come immediately, but life shifts. The right choice leads to peace, and sometimes I have to
wait days before I know really what to do. Sometimes I get it right away. It depends on how sincerely willing I am to see.
The ego’s gut reaction is to jump into the world and manipulate it to “fix” the problem, rather than wait
for the Holy Spirit to heal the cause. I know that at some point in time, I will stop forgetting who I am, and so will you.
In that moment we will have no need of the 3-D world where we see our projected thoughs, and we return to our spiritual
Oneness with the Creator. Oh Happy Day!
So don’t let people demand
that you do certain things to win God’s love. Our beloved Creator has always loved you. (S)He created you to love! God(dess)
sees our true selves, and doesn’t get involved in our projected dream world. Beloved recognizes the falsity of it, and
waits for our awakening and return with joyous anticipation. And yes, we will all return, because our spirit self cannot be
damaged, or changed by our ego selves. We'll return perfect, as Source created us.
Boy did I have a lot of
fun this afternoon. Although it was a holiday from school, I opted to take a class in studying for the Praxis. It’s
a megatest for teachers to take to get licensed, which I need to do in Hawaii. I spent a long time this morning and early
afternoon doing that, and then I rewarded myself by going to our Salvation Army and buying gently used books for my grandchildren,
class, and a specific student. You see, she loves little books, but has a hard time keeping the pages intact, due to a genetic
condition and impulsivity. That impulsivity also causes her to hit others.
Her dad said she LOVES books, so the plan is that every day that she doesn’t hit, she gets
a book for her new library. She has a favorite character already, “Spot”. When I give her a “Spot”
book, she just lights up like a Christmas Tree. That precious smiling face just lights me up too. I can get these little “edible”
books, I’ve dubbed them, at the Salvation Army. The cardboard laminated pages are hard to tear up.
They have short stories and easy concepts for a 3-year old. So, I “closed” the Salvation Army
this afternoon pouring over books for my student, imagining that joyous smile. I was high for about 3 hours!
Paul Solomon taught that creating happiness and joy
is one of the highest things we can do for each other. If a person is feeling joy, there is no sadness, fear, guilt, or other
negativity being experienced. Joy is closer to our True Consciousness, which is always waiting for an invitation into our
busy minds.
